United Kingdom - London

A second impression of London…

I feel like I should be in that Alanis Morrisette song, Head over Feet, that goes “You’ve already won me over in spite of me”… but no, London really didn’t win me over.

It is a pretty amazing city, and some parts of it I really enjoyed, but the overall vibe is a bit too much for my taste. I would say that it moves too fast. The city is vibrant and colorful, the people are super-friendly and I do love all of the art. But still… I can’t quite keep up the pace. It’s quite an unpopular opinion right?

The one thing I did enjoy the most besides the obvious family time was all of the beautiful parks, with all the animals and the greenery. I loved going around for morning strolls and just experiencing the quiet time before the city woke up.

Would I go back for yet another visit, sure I would. It’s not that I dislike London, it’s just that there are so many other places around the UK that I would much rather visit. Some place that’s not as loud is more my kind of place.

What do you think of London? Are you more like me and prefer the smaller cities or do you enjoy the big city life?
