Sweden - Trosa

Wine o clock @Tullhuset

You can’t really go to a seaport without having some seafood, can you?

We found this cute little cafe, right at the center of town overlooking the boardwalk and the canals, called Tullhuset. They serve everything from pizza and burgers, to cocktails and icecream. For our little group of adventurers it was the perfect place to have a quick lunch, well… that quick stop turned out to be a few hours, we really enjoyed ourselves.

White wine and smoked shrimps, with bread and aioli, served on a hot summer day, shared with friends and loved once. Does life get any better than this?

The prices were affordable, the people were friendly, the smoked shrimps were delicious and the white wine was cold. Could you really ask for more? It was the perfect place for us, and to be honest, we liked it so much that we went back another day and tried some of their other dishes. And that really says it a lot when it comes to a restaurant, I mean, if you don’t enjoy the food and like the place, you don’t go back. At least I don’t.

I have always loved shrimps, but I never quite seem to give myself time enough to really sit down and enjoy a basket of shrimps. It’s that kind of food that you shouldn’t hurry, you should take your time peeling (have you ever tried to peel shrimps fast?) and just really enjoy the time. We ended up sitting there for quite some time, enjoying our seafood, people watching, and getting into a perfect calm before we started exploring this cute little town called Trosa in Sweden.

Oh yes, I do recommend Tullhuset, so if you ever find your self in the area, make sure that you’ll check it out – you’ll not be disappointed! And if seafood’s not your thing, I am guessing that having a cold drink in the shades whilst watching boats go by in the canals is something most people would enjoy.
